Jscript is not java. JavaScript is a scripting language that is parsed by the web browser itself. Javascript has enhanced the capabilities of simple HTML that was earlier restricted to showing text and photos only. With this script however, webpages had a new life! javascript enabled these pages to remember their visitors, greet them according to the time of the day, change or create content dynamically and do wonderous computer animation that was previously unimaginable!

1) Magic Comeback: How may times have you yourself, opened a new window, and forgot about the other page your looking at in the other window? Well, adding this script to your page will make people comeback within 30 seconds, try it.

2) Extra Description: This script gives additional info on the links on mouseover in an exclusive text box. Leave no element of doubt (or confusion) with this one.

3) Dynamic links update: If adding and updating links at the bottom of each HTML page of your site is driving you crazy, here's the solution. JavaScript can read from an external file and include that code on the bottom of each page.

4) JavaScript earthquake?: California has earthquakes, and so does JavaScript1.2 ! This short JavaScript code will actually shake your browser window by using the moveBy() function, somewhat like a web browser earthquake! Not entirely useful, but neat anyways.

5) Help windows: Microsoft Windows help boxes are second-nature to most of us by now. How about having a similar popup help boxes on your web site!? Fast loading.

6) Movable menu bar: JavaScript can power a floating menu, that actually can 'float' a navigation bar menu to anywhere on the page, with the click of a mouse! Amazing!

The biggest advantage java has over most other languages is that java is a cross platform language meaning that it is not restricted to any particular native machine or an OS.
