Don't Stand So Close To Me (Celestial)
This Discord represents sheer elemental loathing by
the fundamental nature of existence itself; the sufferer is much more likely to
suffer from unfavorable Interventions.
Obviously, the name of the Discord comes from the typical reaction of
anyone who knows about the condition.
The mechanics are as follows: every time the subject
makes a roll - any roll - he or she must add together all three dice, then add
(if an angel) or subtract (if a demon) the level of the Discord. If the new number is 18 or higher (if an
angel), or 3 or lower (if a demon), then ignore the results of the roll and
instead apply the effects of an unfavorable Intervention. Natural unfavorable Interventions
should be particularly catastrophic. Favorable
Interventions are not affected by this, however; also, only celestials ever
suffer from this Discord.
As a special wrinkle, celestials with the DSSCTM
Discord must roll at least one Intervention per day if they want to receive
their daily note of Essence...
Reaction Penalty: none, for the first three levels -
but -3 for every level above /3.
