Maxcom 4A 40 Ch AM

Another 40 Channel AM unit with similarities to Midland's 2001. Made in Korea. This example bears serial of SN6023250. There was subsequently a Maxcom 4E 40ch FM model sold in the UK for the UK27/81 CB ban, which was presumably a variant of this chassis.

Cobra 19X 40 Ch AM

Another Korean made 40 Channel AM unit but this time bearing the Cobra name. FCC ID: 19X. This example bears a S/N of 2081817.

Commtron IV 40 Ch AM/FM

40 Channel AM/FM unit with similarities to Midland's 2001, the user handbook CCT diagram seeming largely identical to that in the 2001 handbook, but with the addition of a small FM Mod/Demod PCB. Owners handbook cover has a printed 'AM/FM' splash which seems directly related to the sticker on the 2001 handbook..

General Electric 3-5804F 40 Ch AM

An apparently well made 40 Channel AM unit. Microphone socket is 5 pin DIN recessed in left side of case.
Rear view shows G.E.'s FCC compliance plate for the model, and its country of origin as Taiwan R.O.C.

40 Channel AM unit made in Korea. Has LED meter and no PA facility. Microphone socket is recessed 5 pin DIN. Uses LC7131 PLL.

Midland 100M 80 Ch AM

80 Channel variant of Midland's 100M (normally 40ch). Has no PA facility - hi/lo band switch occupies position of CB/PA switch on 40ch original. Made in Korea. FCC ID: 77-100A. This example bears S/N of 4232068 and is dated Feb1981.

Midland 2001 40 Ch AM

Nice looking straight-40 rig in Midland's 'Precision Series'. Green LED channel display. Made in Korea. FCC ID: 77-002. This example bears S/N of 4908215 and is dated August 1979.

Midland 2001 80 Ch AM/FM

Midland's 2001 with an additional 40 channels (low shift on this one) and FM as well as AM operation. Has Green LED channel display. Owners Manual cover is for 40 channel AM unit, with an 'AM/FM 80 Channel' applique splash sticker.

Midland 4001 40 Ch AM

40 Ch AM rig with Green LED channel display, RF gain, Mic gain, seperately switchable Noise Limiter and Noise Blanker, switchable audio filter, and an Antenna Warning Indicator for alerting operator to bad SWR (a handy reminder if you've left your twig off its mount!).

A nice looking rig. This example had a factory slide rail mounting bracket.

Pearce-Simpson Super Tiger 40A

40 Channel AM. RF Gain, Delta Tune on receive (Recv-o-Slide), switchable noise blanker, built in Modulation and SWR meter facilities. Meter illumination amber on Rx, Red on Tx.
