1991 Mussina lost his Major League debut on August 4 versus the Chicago White Sox. His 2.87 ERA that season was the lowest of all American League rookies with at least 10 starts.
1992 Mussina's .783 winning percentage was the best in the majors. Also in 1992, Moose became the youngest Baltimore Oriole to play in the All-Star Game since 1960.
1994 Mussina came in 2nd place in the majors with 16 wins (He tied along with Cone, Hill, and Maddux). His 3.06 ERA was 4th best in Major League ball and he tied an Orioles team record with 13 wins by the All-Star break.
1995 Mussina led the AL with 4 shutouts. He tied Greg Maddux with a career-high 19 wins for 1st place in all of Major League Baseball.
1996 Mussina threw his 11th career shutout on Sept. 7 and won his first Gold Glove Award for excellence in fielding. The Moose also set new career highs with 243.1 innings pitched and 204 strikeouts.
