1997, clay, glass, lamp parts, pump 23"x 19"x 20" Can be seen and purchased at the Gallery of Functional Art, Santa Monica, CA. This thing is unbelievable. Inside of this antique looking artillary shell, is the recreation of the Confederate submarine, C.S.S. Hunley, attacking the Union ship, The U.S.S. Housatonic. This piece gets filled with about 9 gallons of water. Inside the submarine are tiny lights so that you can see the sailors turning their cranks. Bubbles come out of the rear of the sub. |
