This We Believe

We believe in one GOD, creator and sustainer of the universe, who is eternally the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe He is actively opposed by Satan, an angel whom He created but who rebelled and who attempts to seduce man from trusting and serving GOD.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD, fully GOD and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to redeem all who trust in Him. He was raised bodily from the grave to life, and ascended to the right hand of GOD, where he makes intercession for his people.

We believe man was created by GOD in his own likeness but has followed Satan in his rebellion so that now all men are sinners and under the righteous judgment of GOD. Forgiveness and eternal salvation are a free gift of GOD's grace and received only through trusting in Christ and his atonement. All of those whom Christ has chosen and regenerated, he will complete and preserve to inherit his eternal kingdom.

We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates and lives in those who trust in Christ and empowers them for lives of holiness and christian service.

We believe that all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit are by the Spirit baptized into the one true church, the spiritual body of Christ. This church is seen in the world as local assemblies of believers who are joined together for the purpose of glorifying GOD, edifying one another, and evangelizing the world.

We believe Christ will personally come again to the earth in power and glory to establish his righteous rule. All the dead will be resurrected and all will give account of their lives. Those who have received Christ's righteousness will receive eternal rewards and those who have continued in their rebellion against GOD will receive eternal punishment.

We believe the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of GOD, without error in the original manuscripts, and a sufficient rule for faith and practice.
