Chorus pedal news: the chips that power these things are no longer being made, but we've got more than enough for a good production run (a couple hundred or so.) For the impatient, here's a sound sample in RealAudio format. Projected price for the all analog chorus is $145. The Pitchkicker, a combination octave and fuzz device, is available via custom order only. Price is $95 including shipping in North America. E-mail for more info. Dialtone Effects are used by Linton, IN's Charles Lapointe (Whisky Bride) and guitarist extraordinaire Nitty Irving - nittyirving's curb shout has sounds of the Fuzzt in action. Dealer and endorsement inquiries welcome! TRADES ACCEPTED. Wanted items: Electro Voice EVM-12L or Eminence 12DF speakers, DOD FX33 Buzz Box or FX76 Punkifier, Maestro Stage Phaser, a neck from a Jeff Beck Strat or Danny Gatton Tele (or any baseball bat type neck), 6 or 8 string lap steel, tube amp parts, other FX, etc. Make an offer! Please inquire for custom options (tuning for specific guitar/pickups/amp, special color, graphics, etc.) Specify knob preference when ordering (black 7 point type or blue/yellow/red top cylinder). Click here for email & orders. 1) Crunchbox.
If a more transparent overdrive with a little distortion flavor is what
you're looking for, check out the Crunchbox. The Crunchbox
is a very deep and full sounding overdrive with a balanced high end, crunchy
midrange, and lots of low end, making it suitable for guitar or bass.
Using 2-stage MOSFET based circuitry, two gain modes (rhythm and lead)
are selectable via footswitch. The single Gain control is
tuned for clean boost at one extreme and fuzzy overdrive at the other.
With the Gain control cranked, you get a sound reminescent of a cranked
up tube amp with the speakers distorting. Dynamics and string separation
are maintained throughout the range of the Gain control, with the Tone
control adding or removing presence without being harsh. To augment
the lead mode, the Comp control allows you to add more distortion
and sustain (active in rhythm mode also.) If you're looking for a
tone that will complement your amp without the generic "screamer" tone
of other pedals, check out the Crunchbox. $115 Real
Audio Sound Sample.
4) Fuzzt2. Controls
for volume, fuzz, spit (hi), barf (mid), eat (lo), oscillation. This is
a complex pedal, perfect for all you noisemaking crazies out there. The
volume and
fuzz controls are self explanatory; the spit
(hi) control regulates the amount of "phelgm" (high end fuzz in the
decay of the signal, like a presence control), eat (mid) adjusts the "throat"
(amount of swell and midrange in the signal, increasing gain but also sustain),
barf (low)adjusts the low end fuzz output for a tighter sound or more
mushiness (high pass filter). The oscillation
control adjusts the pitch & volume of oscillation in the cleaner mode, hitting the
OSC toggle switch cuts in random shrieks and howls at will (synced via
LFO to input). All controls are highly interactive, being more than simple EQ or
fuzz controls. Use it as a regular fuzz (in the cleaner mode) or in the oscillation
mode with a synthesizer. $120
