Echoes from the Battlefield: An Overview

About the Reviewer: Stuart R. Zaharek is the WebMaster for the Christian Reenactor's Network. He is a Civil War reenactor and a Bible-believing Christian. He received his B.A. in Bible/Theology from Northeastern Bible College, New Jersey, and his M.A. in Counseling from Montclair State University, New Jersey. Zaharek has been involved in numerous Christian ministries throughout his twenty-six years as a believer in Christ. He has been involved in the field of Christian higher education for eighteen years.

About this Review: As a critical book review and summary of theological foundations, we have endeavored to maintain all copyright laws, indicating direct quotations with appropriate designations. No criticism contained in this Review of Echoes is intended to reflect on any individual contained therein, but is solely written to demonstrate the obvious incompatibility of the reincarnationist paradigm with historic Christian theology. When attempts are by reincarnationists, or any other individual, to syncretistically blend, synthesize, or harmonize eastern mystical concepts with Judeo-Christian thought, the unavoidable result is always in opposition and contradiction to the plain teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ Himself. We have avoided the extensive use of Bible quotations in the hope that those seeking further information on this issue will refer directly to the Bible in conjuction with linked websites and the Suggested Reading list.

Names of the "regressed" subjects, except for one (due to his national recognition among Civil War reenactors and historians), have not been disclosed due to our respect for their privacy.

Our prayer at CRN is that all who are seekers of Truth will venture to the cross of Christ, behold His empty tomb, and recognize Him, and Him alone, as the Source of true peace and eternal life as did many of our noble Federal and Confederate patriots, both military and civilian, male and female.

As Jesus Himself stated in the Bible regarding "the Truth" (in context)

"...If you abide in my word, then truly you are disciples of mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free....If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8: 31-36)

Blessings to you in your search not for a "past life", but for a future Hope,

Stuart R. Zaharek, for the Christian Reenactor's Network
