The Christian Reenactor's Network has been established to communicate to Civil War reenactors, amateur Civil War historians and "buffs", the timeless Truth and contemporary relevancy of God's Word, the Bible. As reenactors, we share a passion for America's history regardless of our fondness for the Federal or Confederate cause. There is a "Cause" bigger than both of these, this being our individual spiritual lives. Many in our society hold that all one needs to do to merit "heaven" is to follow the "golden rule" or painstakingly try daily to keep the Ten Commandments, go to church and be religious, or just be a "good" person and try-your-best.
According to the Bible, all of these fall short of God's standard.
Whether you are a seasoned reenactor or a newcomer "fresh fish", a young person in school or an accomplished, mature professional, we must all someday stand before the Supreme judge. Life's problems, relationship difficulties, drugs and alcohol, confusion or aimlessness. There IS an answer to be found and God is waiting for you to seek Him.
Through this web site, our desire at the Christian Reenactor's Network is that you discover what real life is all about. Both USA and CSA soldiers have written volumes in their diaries pertaining to the horrors of the War and the meaningfulness of their Christian faith.
