These are my close friends during my college years at UP Manila (B.S. Public Health).

"Ninang" Evelyn, our family friend and co-church member, is actually not a real "Ninang"
as in the one you have during baptism (we don't have that kind of ceremony in our church).
You see, way back in elementary she was supposed to be my Girl Scout "Ninang",
but she wasn't able to come due to an important appointment. She was really sorry though,
and said she still wanted to be my "Ninang" even if she wasn't there.
So since then I've always considered her as such.

When our househelp Wilma got married in 1991,
she requested me to be one of her bridesmaids.
She was the househelp that stayed the longest with us.
