In my sixteenth year, I was accepted into the martial Ordo Discordia. My first assignment of consequence was to aid the defiled paladins of the Order of Manari to retake the Manari temple in Rune Forest. In that conflict did I ally with many other warriors to exterminate the foreign presence. It was there that I met the now infamous Knightotri, the dracon lord Refferron, the healer Selenity, and the martial priestess Candice. Although my comrades and I fought valiantly, our deeds were not sufficient to force the invaders from the Manari temple and the battles continue unabated.

I soon mastered the martial arts of the Ordo Discordia and desired yet greater power. My research in the order's archives did reveal that, although the lords did forbid people to skills from outside of their caste, I could bribe officials with tourmaline gemstones and thus gain admittance into other castes. I thus set out to the proving grounds, wherein a plethora of gemstones exist. I boarded The Magincia in Rune and, after an uneventful voyage, disembarked upon the pier of Wizardry Isle. After being killed several times by werewolves, I eventually found a path across the lake, and reached the start of the moat. As I took my first step into the castle moat, I was slain.

When the powers returned me to life, I no longer had the equipment I wore before my death. An adventurer whose name I no longer remember noticed my plight and told me of the tower of Riga, wherein I could collect tourmalines more easily than in the proving grounds and without the risk of losing my equipment. I thanked the adventurer and departed wizardry isle.

I replaced my lost equipment and journeyed to Verity Isle from Skara Brae, which is now known as Sigil. There, I entered the tower of Riga. The ariels inhabiting the tower fell swiftly to my blade and I collected enough tourmalines in one night have myself reclassified as a rogue. The next day, the Runic Towne Crier announced my new position as a rogue.

I had infiltrated clan Tweaked some months earlier to foster support for the Discordian efforts, but the devious fey Afrodite, leader of Tweaked, proved too difficult to manipulate. Through my contacts in clan Midwinter Equinox, Selenity and Candice, I convinced Kelee to offer me a position in that clan. Being an ogre, Kelee had a simple mind. While Kelee filled his days by satisfying his more primal urges, I was earning the loyalty of the most promising members of Midwinter Equinox.

When Kelee finally emerged from his nuptially-induced torpor, he discovered my subversion and promptly removed me from Midwinter Equinox. By then, I had learned all that I could as a rogue. Through Knightotri and Refferron, I enlisted the aid of clans Dragon and Diversity in journeying to, and gathering tourmalines from, the proving grounds. The Runic Towne Crier soon declared me to be a cleric.

As my mastery of the higher clerical powers improved, the order made me an episkopos. With the office of episkopos came the right to establish my own branch of the order. I thus spent several months raiding the pyramids of Thorn. Having looted several million gold pieces from Thorn, I returned to Rune and paid the registration fee for Ordo Discordia, Section Five.

Although Section Five was registered, approval for its charter was delayed by bureaucrats. Desi and Charmante, who had registed clan Transcend a few months earlier, were in the same predicament. After discussing the matter with them, I returned to the proving grounds to collect maleficarum roots. Aristocrats prized the poisonous roots as intoxicants. Adventurers prized the roots as wards against witchcraft.

I spent many months travelling to and from the proving grounds, wherein I gathered many roots and tourmalines. In that time, several young warriors enrolled in Section Five. They were Jeeves, a minotaur barbarian from Tweaked; Candice, from Midwinter Equinox; Cernix, a devout drow worshipper of the Queen of the Demonweb Pits; Tratain, a fellow member of the Ordo Discordia; Wayreth, a half-elven crusader; Tahngarth the dwarf; Frieza the ogre ; and Bres, an operative of Area 66.

I used the maleficarum roots to assure the approval of Section Five's charter, and the tourmalines to have myself reclassified as a mage. With Section Five registered and approved, membership swelled to the approved maximum. For a time, all was well. The members of Section Five, and thus Section Five, grew stronger.

The next year, disaster struck. The witches Vortex, Baba Yaga, and Lady Bane wrought disaster upon Alyria by drawing comets from the heavens. Fortunately, my clan was spared from the devastation of the comets.

Soon after the devastation, a band of outlaws formed the clan Empire. Their infamy grew legendary as they wrought havoc upon the clans. I first crossed blades with Empire in the catacombs underneath Diocletian, at the request of Dwalin of clan Cabal, with whom we were tentatively allied at the time. Our party lacked organization and was promptly slain. Since then, Empire and Section Five have conflicted frequently, with victories earned by both sides.

Later that year, Candice and I wed. The immortal Celestia performed the ceremony in the Chapel of Love in Sigil. Clan Empire entered the chapel uninvited, and harrassed the wedding party until Celestia removed them.

Also that year, Bres enlisted Nosferato into Section Five. Like Bres, Nosferato was an operative of Area 66. Upon learning that Nosferato was violating the rules laid down by the immortals, I forbid him to continue his infractions. Insisting that he must contine, Nosferato left the clan. Bres also quit Section Five, believing that to forbid clan members of disobeying the immortals was wrong. With Bres gone, I groomed Jeeves to take the empty leadership position.

My clan grew and prospered. We collected enough maleficarum roots to commission the building of a clan hall and to have our request for an increase in membership approved. When the Domain of Arbaces was opened, Section Five came to include many archons. Deeming Section Five sufficiently strong, I declared the clan to be outlaw, and began fighting the other outlaw clans in the streets. Of the outlaw clans, our chief rivals were Enigma and Empire.

I eventually grew tired of an active public life, and gradually gave more command of the clan to Jeeves and my other lieutenants. A dispute over member ranking prompted Jeeves to leave Section Five and found The Boom Squad, later renamed Ahriman's Army. As I was retired, much of Section Five followed Jeeves.

I purchased a pardon for the outlaw actions of Section Five. I knew that it would be difficult for the remaining members to recruit for a crippled outlawed clan. The pardon was insufficient. Section Five fell into debt and lost almost all of its members.

A month before Section Five was dissolved for failure to pay taxes, Moonkey spoke with me of the matter. He had been an adept of Ahriman's Army under Jeeves, where he heard many tales of Section Five. He requested command of Section Five so that he could restore it to its former glory. I acquiesced, and the day before Section Five was to be dissolved for delinquent taxes, Moonkey paid all outstanding debts.

Last year, I heard rumors of a hotel in the underworld. I left the comforts of my castle in Rigel for the first time in years. Knightotri and I were the first archons inside the hotel. News of its location spread immediately, and within minutes the most resourceful archons arrived to explore the island. The next day, I joined Knightotri and his clan, the Knights of Chaos, to defeat an evil cult that was established in secret upon the isle. After we slew the cult's leader, Veldra, I returned to my castle in Rigel.

Since then, I have rarely left the comfort of my homes. My good friend Moonkey retired some time ago, as did Rayge more recently. Section Five is now full of young faces I don't recognize. I will soon be retiring permanently, and it is up to these new members, the next generation, to decide the fate of Section Five.
