This site uses some graphics (I fell victim to "Math with GIFs"
syndrome to a certain extent), style sheets, some JavaScript, Java, and the
odd Netscape extension. Therefore, it would be a good idea, if you don't
have it already, to get Netscape 4
or better.
On the other hand, I want my pages to be at least readable on all browsers.
If any of my pages look horrible in
your browser, I'd like to hear
about it.
I've rendered the headings in Goudy Medieval font.
If you can use TrueType fonts on your computer, you may want to
download it.
I've rendered exponents in various ways, depending on when I wrote
the page. My latest try is as follows, so "ten to the power of twenty"
is rendered as 10 20. There's a small image between the base and the exponent with
alternate text of "^". The intent is that it should render fairly
well even on browsers that don't support superscript.
Content
- Most content is related to number theory, logic, or
recreational mathematics, although there are exceptions.
- I don't have a table of contents, because that would assume
linearly-related content. I may put up an index shortly, though.
- Material that is a little involved is shown
like this (probably in dark blue type);
you can skip this stuff if
you like/need (assuming that the words "like this" above looked
different from the rest of the paragraph (-: ).
- For definitions of some mathematical terms, see my
glossary (which is unfinished
though).
- I'm always adding new material, so feel free to check back later.
- If you have suggestions, corrections, questions, sites you'd like me
to link to (either on one of my content pages or my
math links page,
or anything else, please contact me.

There are few disadvantages except for the banner at the top of
this page.

E-mailing the Author
I enjoy getting e-mail, so feel free to e-mail me. I can be reached
at ajy@stormloader.com. A few
things to keep in mind:
- I reply to all e-mail sent to me that requires a response, although
sometimes it takes a few weeks if I'm busy/enervated/swamped with other
e-mail/etc.
- If you haven't received a reply from me after a few weeks, please
re-send your e-mail if you're still interested in a reply.
I have received
e-mails in the past (mostly from Microsoft mail clients) that have been
so mangled that the sender's e-mail is illegible so I can't even let
them reply to say that I couldn't read their e-mail.
- I don't have MS Windows at home, so try not to send me attachments
in Microsoft's proprietary formats (for example, .doc and .xls). I have
a hard time reading these files. Send plain text attachments if possible,
please.
