Angel of Archives: Prima can enter any archive of information, physical or electronic, and instinctively sense the best way to organize it in the most efficient manner possible to serve Thoroughness' needs (which may include deleting information or placing it under barriers). For a cost of four Essence, the archive organizes itself in the way Prima directs.

Appearance: A Seraph so bent as to appear inverted, with dusty-brown scales and pale green eyes. For some reason she moves like a very old woman; even her scales seem tired and her droopy wings creak like her voice when she has to fly. She wears six pairs of spectacles and carries a cane under one wing.

Role: An old secretary, always. In whatever era she appears in, Prima appears as a bent, stooped, white-haired old woman, her appearance changing to match the time and place she is in. She has only appeared once on Earth.

History: Prima was the very first angel created by Beth after the former's ascension to Archangel of Thoroughness - even before Lirien (hence her name, which is Latin for 'first'). Prima has always been given charge of maintaining the records of Heaven. When the agents of the Sword needs information on how many heretics have been tried this year, they turn to Prima. The records of all of Heaven's activities (at least, those not classified as military secrets or hidden by Archangels) are Prima's province. The Archives of the Library are the dim and musty domains Prima has always guarded as fiercely as Beth does the Library, so it was natural that she be granted the Word of Archives.

Prima has been rather sheltered for most of her life. She was never given any role in the war, besides keeping track of everything. For most of her existence, Prima has sat at her desk in the Archives, processing all the information that comes in. The first time she ever saw Earthside duty was when the Great Library of Alexandria came into being. Prima was the Prime Seneschal of the Tether. With Lirien, the Angel of Libraries, she made sure that Knowledge did not get a base in the Library, keeping it as an outpost of the Host.

Some claim that the shock of being out of her Archives caused her to fail in her duty, leading to the onslaught that destroyed the Library. No one knows for sure. All anyone knows is that after that incident, Prima was re-installed in the Archives and has been happy ever since. It is interesting that Prima has never, not once in her life, been outside a library, either on Earth or in Heaven. Libraries are her entire existence, and the principals of the War are nothing more than statistics and figures on charts to her. The War is nothing but an abstract curiosity in her books.
