Champion of the Battle of First Megiddo: Iblis created a special attunement for Genubath, in honor of the bloodbath he provoked the rioting soldiers of ancient Egypt to perform at the battle of First Megiddo. When invoked, all those in a vicinity of one mile to Genubath feel a surge of raging bloodlust for a number of hours equal to Genubath's Word Forces (treat as the Bloodlust Discord).

Angel of Pillage: For 3 Essence, Genubath can push a crowd of one hundred people or less to commit to an act of violent looting or pillage.

Appearance (Celestial): Genubath appears as a brawny Seraph, with scales the slick, black color of dried blood, with splotches of vivid blood-red along his entire fifteen-foot frame. His six eyes each blaze with the red-orange of burning fires, the top pair standing beneath a pair of crimson horns. The feathers of his wings are sharply pointed, like knives, and are the dull-black of iron ore. His tail is spiky, with a spike at the end of the tail. All the spikes are the same dull black as his wings.

Appearance (Corporeal): Genubath's appearance has varied over the millennia, but his favorite mortal appearance is as a tall human man, dark of skin and hair, and powerfully built. Genubath has never settled for being anything other than being big and brawny (except for those rare occasions when he's been a female pirate captain, but those where always uncomfortable periods for him). He is usually bald, with piercing eyes, and loose-fitting dark clothes that let him fight easily. He is never without a weapon. Most of the time he bears his cutlass, a relic bearing the Corporeal Song of Thunder within it, and an Uzi at his side or a double-bandoleer of hand grenades strapped to his chest.

History: Genubath was created two years before the Revolution by Uriel, and he expressed an interest in the combat engaged in by mortals. His interest was not really noted until the Revolution. At that time, Genubath sided proudly with Laurence and entered his service, remaining there after the Revolution ended. Genubath took advantage of the confusion surrounding Lucifer's rise to power to promote his own views on Earth. Genubath began encouraging mortals to form into bands and raid one another for all the loot to be had. He encouraged people in the belief that if someone has what you want, you should take it, by any means necessary. By the time Laurence began paying attention to him, Genubath had already impacted human history with the vicious, savage raids that he inspired and led.

The problem with Genubath was his lack of subtlety. He kept the humans in line, uncertain and unable to progress in ways that Heaven would not like due to the mayhem he created, but he could care less about Disturbance. He also had a tendency to assume his true Seraphic form on Earth, inspiring all sorts of cults and religions. Laurence rebuked him on several occasions, but Lucifer ordered Laurence to let him be. Genubath's work was enough for Lucifer. How he accomplished it was his own affair. Laurence subsided.

It wasn't until 18,180 BC that Genubath got his Word. Lucifer called the blood-thirsty Seraph - fresh from a raid and with the blood and gore still dripping from his body - into his office one morning and unceremoniously named him the Angel of Pillage for his killing of Valefor, (outlawed Angel of Justified Thievery and one of Janus' top Servitors). There were no political reasons for the fight, however: rather, it was over a dispute about the difference between Justified Thievery and Rapine. Valefor was out-thinking rings around Genubath, so Genubath killed him.

At any rate, Genubath nodded, saluted, and left to return to his raid. On the way out, he bumped into Iblis. He was sort of in a hurry, but from that day forward, the two angels began conversing often. The Angel of Pillage impressed the Cherub who commanded Lucifer's Guards, and when the Exiles were let loose, Genubath often supported his raids by supplying mortal warlords and armies in the area to help screw over the Exiles even more. When Iblis became the Archangel of Glory, Genubath went over Laurence's head to Lucifer and requested a transfer. It was granted.

Genubath has spent the last several millennia in Iblis's service, earning Distinctions and renown for his brutal savagery. Surprisingly, Genubath is not much of a politician. He's made his way through being steadily consistent. He's the one who can always be counted on to mindlessly ravage, pillage, and raze anything within range, leaving nothing behind smoking rubble and dead corpses. He hasn't bothered to update himself or really develop any modern ideas since 18,180 BC. The only things modern about him are his weapons - and he still feels more comfortable with his old cutlass. Pillage is a nice, comfortable Word that doesn't require much development, or so Genubath thinks.

Personality: Genubath is a murderous, brooding, bandit with a strange sense of honor. He believes that he is strengthening humanity by visiting horrible violence and death upon them. He has convinced himself that this is so, and has many of his war-band spreading the glory of his noble cause and righteous battle with mortal champions (with him in his Seraphic form, using Songs and Attunements, but it is 'fair' to his mind...).

He doesn't understand politics, nor does he want to understand them. He can be a semi-reasonable brute after a battle, but somewhat preoccupied and distant too. Genubath doesn't talk much, and when he does it is in a low, grating voice, usually with words of three syllables or less. Complicated speech has never been his forte. Being Pillage, he hoards all of his stolen treasures, but he doesn't care for them after he has stolen them away. It is the act of violent taking that matters to him, not the goods.
