Location: The Heavenly Realms (The Marches)
By Ben Acosta
The result of the fact that divine religions can now spawn ethereals, the Heavenly Realms are a group of domains in the Marches created by human hopes and speculation on what Heaven was like. Ironically, due to the fact that they are the products of hopes and dreams, they can be found in Blandine's side of the Marches, far from the actual Heaven that was their inspiration.
There is more than one Heavenly Realm due to the fact that unlike "Hell," there has been no one consensus of what Heaven is like. There are a few popular versions that are the product of one religion or culture, but no overwhelming universal consensus. Thus, there are heavenly realms for various sects of Christianity, one for Muslims, and even one based on a consensus of portrayals from Pop Culture, thanks to the Angel of the Media.
In Heavenly Realm one finds the typical type of angel one would expect to find. In the Pop Culture version, for example, they actually have humans who become "angels", who are really either ethereals, or dream shades who "earned their wings." One might also find Exile angels there, typically Mercurians and Malakim, who would fit most depictions of angels. They are sent there to help keep such a valuable resource in the Exiles' camp. The souls who end up in the Heavenly Realms are those who neither met their Destiny nor Fate, but were strongly religious, or for some reason had a strong belief they would go to Heaven when they die.
