'Song' of Rejection (Corporeal) (Restricted: mortals)

This Song is fairly unique in that it doesn't require Symphonic Awareness as a prerequisite (in fact, there are those that consider it not actually a Song at all). The 'Song' of Rejection has its origins among ancient Zoroastrian beliefs: worshippers would gather together and ritually burn branches in rejection of Ahriman. Whether or not it would work on Lucifer is debatable: however, demons are certainly affected.

This 'Song' (or possibly just a Theurgic ritual that doesn't have a prerequisite) requires the presence of at least 10 sincere worshippers of Ormazd: they all add a branch to a special fire (and, incidentally, contribute one Essence apiece). Assuming that the person leading the ritual makes his roll, the 'Song' makes the area temporarily anathema to servants of Hell: demons and Hellsworn inhaling the smoke will suffer 1d6 points of celestial damage per turn per 10 Essence spent, for as long as the fire burns. Even after the fire goes out, those serving Hell will suffer a -1 to all rolls in the area (1-foot radius per Essence spent) per 10 points of Essence originally spent, for the next three months. Angels and ethereals not aligned with Hell suffer no effects at all.

Essence Cost: Minimum 10, maximum 60.

Degree of Disturbance: None at all, even for the Essence spent. Apparently, the Symphony considers this to be a perfectly natural occurrence.
