*Probably not called this by Kronos, but he must have an equivalent to Yves' Servitor Attunement, and he's given it to Tausa.

Oaths:

"Suffer not one of Kronos' desired acquisitions to live, if it is my choice."

"Never surrender, or allow myself to be captured by forces opposed by my Superior."

"Never kill a human that has not achieved his or her Fate."

"Never allow one of Kronos' desired acquisitions to achieve his or her Destiny."

Kronos has one hobby.

The Demon Prince of Fate likes to collect souls: while this seems obvious enough, given his Word, Kronos has very strict requirements when it comes to his personal gallery. They just can't be any souls: he'll be satisfied with nothing less than the best (or worst, depending on your point of view). Like any Prince, he's got a decent collection of infamous monsters in human form, but Kronos only keeps them because he's expected to. What he really likes is getting his hands on those whose evil was unconscious. He appreciates evildoers who simply slipped into committing atrocities and depravities for no real reason, and has even been known to smile when contemplating a human soul who colluded in mass murder 'because everybody else was'. They sing to what passes for his soul, subconsciously confirming his utter contempt for humanity.

Now, Fate being what it is, most of his acquisitions will make their way to Hell normally, and Kronos will either be given them, or later trade for them. The other Princes will actively negotiate with him (even the ones that loathe the Prince of Fate), because being one of Kronos' conversation pieces is widely regarded as being a special Hell of terror and helplessness, and it never hurts to provide a little motivation to your own damned souls. However, Fate being what is (again), sometimes a human soul will somehow manage to commit deeply evil acts and still not be damned. Kronos dislikes that immensely: like all fanatical collectors, he wants complete sets.

Luckily, he's got a very good corporeal agent to track these treasures down.

Tausa has been Kronos' acquisition agent for several centuries, and he's good at his job. Jobs, really: Tausa has two major duties. The first is to seek out those Fated that fit Kronos' stringent standards for worthiness (and are not likely to serve Hell further) and kill them. Kronos has an understanding with Asmodeus that said individuals are to be sent over to the Archive once they reach Hell.

The second task is to track down notable specimens that somehow managed to not meet their Fates. This is more common than one would expect, actually, thanks to the vagaries of the Symphony. To use a current example, the Fates of many National Socialists were inextricably linked with the successful creation of a Thousand-Year Reich. Such a technicality didn't keep the higher-ups out of Hell, but many of the rank-and-file ended up reincarnating (more even than those involved in the Taiping Rebellion, which was Kronos' previous enthusiasm). However, Kronos wants those rank-and-file (plus the ones still alive and useless to Hell, of course), so Tausa is often assigned to bring them to their Fates and finish the job. He's also constantly on the lookout for particularly hard-to-get pieces, of course (there's this one member of Beria's personal execution squad that keeps eluding Kronos, for example). Tausa has the resources of Kronos' organization to draw upon, if he really needs to, but he rarely needs to.

Considering that he's a Balseraph of Fate who has the mindset of a Malakite permanently grafted onto him, Tausa is actually fairly stable. His urges for honor have been more or less safely channeled into doing his job cleanly and without undue fuss. Of course, the fact that his usual targets are undeniably guilty of things that the Prince of Fate considers noteworthy helps keep those annoying Malakite drives from getting too aggravating. Tausa, in fact, almost considers himself a 'real' Malakite: after all, he's not precisely suffering evil to live. He's just concentrating on the very worst.

Now, Heaven doesn't buy this argument at all, naturally. While it's nice that there's somebody out there dedicated to sniffing out Fated individuals and sending them to Hell (where they'll no longer be a danger), there's that entire issue with damning those who still have a chance for salvation. Not even the most pragmatic Archangel is willing to argue with the Symphony on this one, so Tausa can count on interference from the Host when he's not actively engaged in pest control - and sometimes even then. Real Malakim consider it quite a coup to send the Balseraph to Trauma (when they can - he's pretty nasty in a fight), then sending down the particularly nasty bastard that the demon was sent to acquire immediately afterwards. Kronos doesn't seem to care much: but then, he getting his collector's item anyway, so why should he?
