Demon of Mispronouncing Someone Else's Name: Mawrhis gets one Essence whenever he can get someone to deliberately and maliciously mispronounce someone else's name. This is cumulative with Malphas' major Rite.

They all laugh at him, you know. Mawrhis knows this for a fact.

The rest of Malphas' Servitors think that Mawrhis has been screwed but good, and it's all they can do to keep their faces straight whenever they see him. Before he got sponsored for his Word, he was an energetic (for a Djinn) demon rising up the greasy pole of rank: now, he's been permanently shunted off to a meaningless sinecure, forever denied the chance for the ultimate prize. There isn't a chance in Hell that Mispronouncing Someone Else's Name is ever going to be a Superior-level Word. He's trapped.

The sensation of being "trapped" is really dependent upon which side of the door you're on. From Mawhrys' point of view, he's got it all. He's a Word-bound of a powerful Prince, which gives him an acceptable social rank; his Word is easy, easy, easy to maintain and promote, which suits his essentially lazy nature; and, best of all, he's absolutely no threat to anyone important. All Mawrhis has to do is make sure that people keep pissing other people off by mispronouncing their names, and the Essence keeps rolling in. Granted, it's rare for his Word to result in somebody actually dying or anything, but the kind of little irritation his Word represents is essential for Factions to thrive, so he doesn't even have to deal with his Superior interfering all the time. It's also nice that most angels (especially those Malakim bastards) can't take Mawhrys seriously, either: as long as there are better targets available, he can usually run away without too much trouble. Arranging such a state of affairs is usually child's play.

Best of all - absolutely, positively best of all - Mawrhis doesn't have to worry about his Word fading away. It's hard enough to pronounce some demon's names correctly when you're not trying to be offensive. Mawhris could just end up being immortal.
