The numbers above are just a futile attempt to quantify this Saint. Simpler by far to just accept that he's the best weapon maker on Heaven's side. Yes, that includes the Host: while, technically, there could be an angel out there with more raw power, nobody's ever been able to create finer weapons than Jason. Well, except for Laurence and Eli, but the Archangel of a Sword is a specialist and the Archangel of Creation isn't around at the moment. Jason just has the touch when it comes to steel.
Of course, he's had lots of practice. Jason was the first smith that ever managed to make an sword out of iron, a very long time ago, and he's refined his art ever since. By now, Michael can't conceive of getting anyone else to craft his axes - and he's not the only angel - or Archangel - that uses Jason's services. The Saint is an excellent enchanter as well (as befits someone who spent three hundred years polishing his art under the direct supervision of Eli), which means that he always has a backlog of orders. The Saint is constantly creating artifacts (luckily, that's his favorite thing in the world to do). The Saint is currently stationed in North America, where he can usually be found involved in various historical re-enactment activities (it's perfect cover).
There used to be a stereotype that smiths were large, surly people with hearts of gold. Jason manages to be large (in fact, he can loom if he's not careful), and has the heart of gold part down pat, but surly is beyond him completely. He's a likeable fellow, but anyone that wants to be good friends with him will have to become resigned to the fact that Jason lives, breathes, eats and sleeps metalworking. It's his reason for existence, his favorite activity and his favored form of artistic expression. Those that share his passion will find him quite companionable.
Lastly, it should be noted of course that Michael and Laurence have him discreetly, yet thoroughly guarded. The point may just be moot: Baal knows where Michael gets his weapons, of course, and has no intention of letting his old friend and adversary be at any material disadvantage when the two finally face off. Baal wants his victory to be clear. If that means keeping the rest of Hell away from Michael's pet weapon smith, so be it: Michael extends to Baal the same consideration, for precisely the same reason.
Besides, there is such a thing as professional courtesy.
