Demon of Nightmares about Finding Yourself Naked in Public: Francine can automatically possess anyone naturally having this specific nightmare.

Special Rite: cause someone to have a Nightmare about finding him or herself naked in public.

Francine is a demon on her (she usually thinks of herself as female) way up. She's nasty, callous, hates humanity (to the point where she only visits the corporeal plane when absolutely necessary), and generally shows the drive and ability needed to go up the greasy pole of rank. Needless to say, her older, more experienced colleagues noted this, and decided to neutralize her.

The usual method in these sorts of cases is to set a demon up, one way or the other. In this case, rather than get Francine in trouble with the Game (she's extraordinarily loyal to Hell and Nightmares) or arrange for an accidental meeting with a squad of Malakim (too risky in this case), her detractors hit upon the time-honored method of setting her up for a useless Word. If one knows what words to whisper in Beleth's ear, such things are really quite easy… and so it was in this case. Francine got the trivial Word of Nightmares about Finding Yourself Naked in Public.

Her colleagues haven't realized yet that this clever ploy isn’t going to work. Francine wanted a trivial Word all along: after all, pushing it (and expanding it) will make her look so much better than merely maintaining a more powerful one would. Right now, she's lucked out: the next step (Nightmares about Getting Caught in an Embarrassing Situation) is free, so there'll be no competition for it.

After that, it's just a short reach to Nightmares Involving Shame and Humiliation (also free); now, the holder of the Word above that (Embarrassment) is a tough and nasty Habbalite, but he happens to have a potential rival (the Impudite Demon of Shame) whose performance has been slipping lately. The Demon of Embarrassment will find Francine a perfect tool to discredit his rival and expand into the Word; she’ll use the opportunity to solidify her position, with an eye towards eventually aiming for Humiliation … the Word she wanted all along.

How nice of her colleagues to give her the perfect position from whence to start. It'll take her a while, but she'll get there … and, in the process, Francine will make sure that nobody in Nightmares will ever again consider lateral promotions to be an effective tool for personal safety.
