Nobody expects to see a Tsayadim in a flower shop.
That pretty much sums up Anna right there. She's one of the rare Servitors of Purity that spends a large amount of time on the corporeal plane, keeping an eye out for those ethereals that manage to sneak past the multiple layers of defense between Earth and the Marches. Some do get through ... but, once they're on Earth, the spirits are then faced with the daunting task of trying to insinuate themselves into human belief systems.
It's an article of faith (pardon the pun) among ethereals that there are others of their kind living quite unconcernedly in the middle of the War, completely overlooked by both sides. Anna certainly tries her best to look like such an entity: every so often, an ethereal will spot the name, come to the incorrect conclusion that she's a hidden Roman goddess, and approach her. For many spirits, this is the last thing they'll ever do in their lives.
Not that Anna destroys all of them. One thing that living on Earth has taught her is that to catch big fish, you need bait - and it helps if you have little fish willing to trade their lives for that of their larger cousins. It's not very nice, perhaps, but ethereals have been banned from the corporeal plane. It's not like they're ignorant of the price of disobedience.
However, Anna's primary role isn’t to put down random minor spirits. She's more of a permanent scout for her fellow Tsayadim: when word comes of a major ethereal infestation on the corporeal plane, she’ll be the first of her tribe on the scene. By the time her fellow Purifiers appear, she'll have scouted out the area, begun to identify targets, and generally use her knowledge of the corporeal plane to help the direct action team perform their tasks and get away clean. She's pretty good at doing that: of course, she's had lots of time to practice.
Anna's personality is just what you'd expect from someone who's spent a millennium patiently waiting for her boss to come back so that he can finish eliminating an entire sentient species. In other words, she's cold (although she hides it well around humans), fanatical and unsentimental. Anna won't deliberately try to hurt or kill a human (even those actively attempting to protect ethereals), but she won't shed any tears if one throws himself on her sword. In fact, Anna never sheds any tears, period.
At the moment, and unbeknownst to her, the angel's cover happens to be severely at risk. Servitors of both the Media and of Flowers have independently penetrated the first level of her cover identity. Neither group suspect that she's a Tsayadim (the Servitors of Flowers think that she might work for Michael; ironically, the Media demons are sure that she serves Novalis), so they probably won't be able to take the right tack in dealing with her. Especially the demons (an Impudite and Balseraph): they'll just go in and try to rough her up, which should lead to a quite painful surprise...
