This Attunement doesn't directly give any special abilities: it's merely a formal indication that Jean thinks that you can be trusted to play with his gadgets. Every Tether of Lightning will have, somewhere, a list of the latest devices that need testing: those with this Attunement may sign up for one. The Beta Tester will be expected to turn it in before he or she can get a new one, of course, and there'll be a lot of paperwork to fill out documenting the device's performance, but it's still a good deal. Most devices offered for Beta Testing aren't going to be unique, and Jean recognizes that occasionally a prototype won't stand up under field conditions, so breaking a gadget acquired via this Attunement isn't a real problem unless one makes a habit of it. Those with this Attunement can also get access to Lightning's regular issue equipment (not quite as easily as a Servitor of Jean, of course).

Cost is normally 10 points: celestial characters, Saints or those formally working for Lightning subtract 5 points. Thus, Servitors of Lightning have this Attunement for free, Soldiers of Jean, Saints and/or other angels may buy it for 5 points, and everybody else pays the full price.
