About Myself:
Entered the greyhound racing scene in 1985, first as an owner of greyhounds
then decided I needed to know and learn more about the raising &
training of these fabulous animals. Left my longtime job to break into
the training aspect at Belmont. Worked at Wonderland Greyhound Park
in Boston, went onto Wheeling WVA. where I helped my good friend Stephen
Lonchor who worked for Gulf & Bay Kennel then later Greymeadow Kennel.
I learned what it takes to run a successful kennel on the racing circuit,
now I wanted to know the care and training of greyhounds before they reached
track age. I visited many training and boarding facilities from New
York to Ohio where I got to know much with what it takes to raise young pups.
Met many fine people along the way that were very helpful back
then. Much thanks goes to Jack Sherck of Kansas & his people for
getting me started in the sport of Queens, also to Stephen Lonchor who I
helped breaking in to where he has become a top trainer in his own right.
The training and raising of a greyhound is only half the story of the entire
book, the other half is the blueprint to success, the bloodlines, this is
where it all begins and this is what I do. |
