Strategy:

This is the "original," pre-HE version of my Crab Follower Deck. It's a bit out of date now, and I have created a more recent version, which should be posted soon in the Deck Archive. The deck was an attempt to adapt to the 40/40 environment, using the "honorable" Crab stronghold. And it worked better than I expected.

If the Evil Crab Deck taught me that Crab could win just as well as any one else, this deck taught me that L5R is the greatest CCG ever. Whereas Evil Crab was swift and produced one-sided games, Follow the Crab led to a slower, more subtle, and more tactically involved game. It won 2 tournaments for me, and those were the only two it participated in.

Game play is fairly obvious; focus on getting your gold-producing holings into play, then bring out personalities and load them up with followers. Be sure to spread the followers around, so Stand Against the Waves can have its full effect. Enlistment assists card drawing once the followers begin to flow, and the plethora of solid miltary Crab personalities should give you a decent base for your army. Begin attacking, and soon the growing flurry of personalities and followers should be enough to swarm and overpower any opponent.
