Strategy:
This deck is relatively untested, but since Death of Ki-Rin was causing me so many problems I decided to try an entirely new deck.
Looking at Dark Journey Home a couple of cards really caught my eyes.
The Age of Man
With the current event heavy environment The Age of Man seems like a real power card. I slimmed my events down to 3 and filled it up with personalities. With the average focus of any given card being around 2 or 3, and the average game lasting usually less than 10 turns, this card can really shut down an event heavy deck such as the Crane Honor Monkey.
I'm still undecided about this card but I think it can be very powerful. Let me know what you think about that one.
Hiruma Osuno
This man is literally a beast!!! I remember someone on the list saying that he was a walking Lion Stronghold with 4 force to boot!! I had always shunned Osuno as he had a high Honor Requirement, and he was too weak to carry a hammer, but now with the early Exp overlay, he could literally make or break a game.
Kharma
Altho I think that this card rocks, I predict that it will do the same thing that Defenders of the Realm did. Early on it saw alot of play, then as a result, everyone stopped playing with Desparate Measures. Not a keen deal to make oneself lose 5 honor. Then slowly but surely, people stopped seeing the need for DotR, and stopped playing with it. (altho the local Junzo player plays with 3 Defenders and 3 Avoid Fates!!! Then again most of the province destroyers hit him, so I don't blame him)
As a result, Desparate Measures slowly started resurfacing. But in this case I really don't know if the Cheese Monkeys will be able to give up The Hidden Emporer and Evil Feeds Upon Itself.
