Shoggoth Ritual

As known in magick as Artificial Elementals, an Entity with a certain degree of intelligence can be counsciously created by the mage. This being will live and act in the mental plane and will be bind to execute whatever it has been assign to do.

Here, the Elemental will be a Shoggoth.

The mage possess many possibilities of action. He can assign his Shoggoth to perform many tasks like:

Influencing with one's thoughts.
Increasing or decreasing one's intellectuals faculties.
Gaining protection of unknown influences.
Binding one's mental to his will.
Turn friendship to hate and hate to friendship.
etc...

The way to proceed is quite simple, by ways of intense visualization, but the following rules must be observed.

The Shape:
A shape must be given unto the Shoggoth. Visualization is highly important.

The Name:
To be able to exist, the Shoggoth must possess a name. Without a name, it will never exist.

The Task:
What the mage wants the Shoggoth to perform. The task will be assign by ways of an intense Will and visualization. The task must be specific, formulated in the present and in a positive manner,
(ex: Thou, n.n., art protecting me of...)

Time:
How long the mage wants the Shoggoth to live. He can be asked to dissolute himself after the task has been accomplished, per example.

Here is now, the way to preceed.

The Ritual

Sit quietely and meditate for a short while clearing the mind of unwanted thoughts. ('Cause as we all know, thoughts dost create on the mental plane.)

Then, visualize yourself in front of an awesome ocean of light, (Dark side's light or white, it's up to the mage to decide). See it vast and infinite, feel it within thy body.

When the contact is established, compress this ocean of light into the shape that has been decided for the Shoggoth. Compress it until it gained the wanted size and shape. While compressing this immensity of light, see the shape glowing brighter and brighter...as bright as one thousand suns. Use thy will and an intense visualization to do so. Visualize the Shoggoth and remain in this state for a while.

At this point, the mage gives/charges, transfers his Will into the Shoggoth, that is; the Task that the soon-living Shoggoth will perform. This part is of the most importance. Time should be taken and remember, have faith in thy workings! Be confident and don't ever have any doubts. For to have doubts is to fail.

When the (bright thousand suns) Shoggoth has fully received thy mental force and is dully charged, it is to be assumed without any doubts that it is created. Now, the mage will give him his name: Ť Thou art n.n.! ť

A living Shoggoth now lives in the mental plane. The mage will now assign him with his Duty Time, ex: Ť Thou art protecting me against...till I am able to proctect myself...ť

When Time has been assign, the mage can command the Shoggoth to dissolute himself in the ocean of light once the task is accomplished (recommanded).

-As soon as the ritual is closed, the Shoggoth will right-on-the-spot, do whatever he has been charged to do.

Know that he is on is way..., and stop thinking about him, for it will help him to do a better job.

If this ritual is well performed,
the magickian will be the proud owner of his own Shoggoth.

End of Ritual

Aye! While writing this ritual at 2:00 am in the morning, I had to stop and I went outside to go get something to eat and drink. When I got back home, as I entered my appartment, something strange happend.
I think I saw a tall man, there, standing with his back against the wall in my bathroom, the which I' ve let the light opened when I got out...
I don't know if my mind tricked me but after, I felt a presence in my back, like if someone was watching me. You know, to live, think and be a lovecraftian make many strange things to happened, even for a magickian...
