Sea Scouts of the Pacific Skyline Council
There are seven active Sea Scout ships in the Pacific Skyline council. Ship 110, the Morning Star, from Palo Alto, is an all-female ship. Ship 145, the Challenger, from Redwood City, Ship 33, the Gryphon, from Redwood City, and Ship 51, the Intrepid, from Palo Alto, are all-male ships, and Ship 134, the Brisbane Star, from Brisbane, and Ship 161 , the Belmonster, from Redwood City are both co-ed. The Mariner Unit Tradewind, from Redwood City, is an honorary member of our fleet and participates in many activities with us. Each ship has their own unique program, but we all do regattas, boat maintenance, and cruises. Regattas are competitions where ships can test their seamanship skills against other ships and have fun socializing, and boat maintenance is necessary our cruising program. In addition to weekend and day trips, most of the ships take long cruises up the delta or elsewhere every summer. Check it out!! Everyone had a great time at the South Bay Sea Scout Reunion in September! For more information about any particular ship, click on its link, or feel free to email me with questions.
