The People's Organization for Progress(P.O.P.) works to empower the grassroots community and fight's for its needs. P.O.P. speaks out about issues such as poverty, racism, unemployment, education, housing, drugs, crime and community deterioration as well as important local, national and international issues.

P.O.P. supports self-help and other efforts to improve conditions in our community. However our ultimate goal is the complete elimination of all forms of racial, social and economic inequality and injustice. If you want to have a stronger voice in the affairs of our community then you should join the People's Organization for Progress.

The People's Organization for Progress is launching a statewide campaign to mobilize and demonstrate against police brutality and racial violence.

WE MUST REMAIN VIGILANT IN THE STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE FOR EARL FAISON.
The police officer's lawyers vow to appeal the convictions. We will monitor the appeal process and be ready for action.

Amadou Diallo killed after being fired at 41 times, Earl Faison died in police custody after only 45 minutes, Stanton Crew killed by State Troopers after being fired upon 27 times, Anthony Baez choked to death by a police officer, Tyisha Miller killed after being shot 12 times(4 in the head), Terrance Everett beaten and accused of a crime he did not commit, Abner Louima sexually tortured, Danette "Strawberry" Daniels shot to death, Emmett Steele found dead in his jail cell, Max Antoine brutally beaten and crippled, Elmer Reed beaten by police, Carolyn "Sissy" Adams shot to death, Philip Panell killed after being shot in the back by a police officer while his hands were raised, Malcolm Furguson shot at point blank range, Patrick Dorismond and many more.
