Parthian Battles
An on-line Tournament
using DBAOL

Background
This tournament is not a usual DBA historical campaign but it is based on a number of battles fought by the Parthians during their 400 years ruling in Persia. The Parthian enemies involved in DBA terms are the following.

41b Late Seleucid
44   Armenian
59   Marian Rome
69   Middle Imperial Rome
73a  Early Sassanid
The only restrictions in army composition are for the Parthian army (#51)
4x4Kn, 2x2Ps, 6x2LH

Rules

Each player takes the side of Parthians OR of their enemies. With 5 players in each side there will be two groups of five players. Each player will be paired against all the payers in the other group in a series of predetermined battles. If you want to make clear how this system works you can go to the Standings page.  The winner of each side (Partians or Enemies) will be decided on the number of wins with a loss differential being used as a tiebreaker (+2 for camp held at the end of the game and +2 for killing the general element). The winner of the each side will face the second of the other side in the semi-finals. Each semi-final and final match will be a series of two battles, one with the Parthians and one with a Parthian enemy of the players choice. The winner of each match will be determined with the loss differential.

Timetable
You can sign in by sending an e-mail  which will include your DBAOL name , your e-mail address and the side you want to play for (Parthians or Enemies). All games of the first round must have finished until the 9th of April. (There is of course some, small,  flexibility on than)
