The attraction of "regression" hypnotherapy is appealing. A bridge of inner healing. Forgiveness and emotional harmony. A changed life. Spiritual enlightenment. A new perception of reality. Removal of guilt. A connection to the past. Closeness with the Supreme Being, whomever or whatever that Being might be.

Hypnotic regression is not new, for it is essentially Eastern religious philosophy packaged and marketed for the Western audience, cloaked in a New Age "scientific" uniform with spiritually-flavored accoutrements. It is part of a larger philosophical system which seeks to undermine the plan of the one true God as revealed in the Bible.
