| My nickname (mamie0007) comes from the fact
that my grandmother, also named Mary Sue, was called Mamie by her friends
and family. I thought it an appropriate tribute. The 007 comes
from my love of James Bond movies particularly those with Sean Connery
and Pierce Brosnan. I've been a faithful Corrie St. watcher since
the mid-70's often looking for ways to get out of going to church so I
could watch it. The advent of Saturday evening masses and the VCR
meant that I never had to miss another episode and with rare exceptions
I haven't.
The first thing I did when I got wired on
the puter was to look up Coronation Street websites. From there I found
the
newsgroup which led me to the GB
and finally to IRC. I'd spent a lot of
time in other chat rooms and never felt welcome. In #coro_street
I never felt unwelcome. I'm a lab technologist by trade and a trade
unionist by choice. I am not married and have no children but I have two
nieces that I love to pieces. I am looking forward with great anticipation
to my first ping and to meeting some
of you folks that I've come to know in the channel.
