| EastCoastSue greets you from the variable
weather capital of Canada! After almost 30 years in Toronto, we moved to
the calmer and quieter climes of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The youngest
of four, I was an *ideal* child, never causing my parents a moment of grief.
I also have two bridges for sale; one of which is currently being renovated
(hehehe).
We moved to Nova Scotia in January of 1991,
while the Gulf War was in full swing. When we flew out of Toronto
International Airport, there were ten people there; eight of those were
security! I was somewhat intimidated to be moving to a *military*
town and the first time I heard the *noon whistle* blow at the dockyards,
I was sure we were being attacked!
Life has not been dull since moving to Dartmouth,
especially with our daughter, six years old (going on forty-two), fondly
known as *little critter*. Although there have been a few too many
*downs*, one of my current *ups* has been #coro_street. These people
have welcomed me and I really feel a sense of family. Honestly, I
talk more with these people than I do to my own family in Ontario (and
get along better with, too!).
My first introduction to shows British was
Monty Python's Flying Circus. Not sure what the link is from Monty
Python to Corrie. If this helps, my favourite book is *Catch-22*,
favourite album *Journey to the Centre of the Earth*, I like bagpipe music,
had to burn a Ouiji board once, and married a fellow one foot taller than
I. Hmmmmm....
Back to things Corrie:
FAVOURITE CHARACTERS:
Bet and I admit a weakness toward
Charlie
the trucker!; current favs include Toyah, Natalie, Sir Royston,
and the Fred & Ashley comedy duo!
FAVOURITE COUPLE:
Tie between Roy & Hayley and the
Mallets (and Becky &
Bill, too)
CHARACTERS THAT MAKE ME SQIRM:
Steve MacDonald (close mouth when
you chew gum!) and Raquel...think it was the voice; Les has
moved from comic relief to causing me grief whenever he appears
FAVOURITE STORYLINE:
Roy seeking Hayley out in Holland...ahhhhhh
CHARACTER I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE OF:
Charlie West...has good comic timing
and contributes well to those Corrie moments
GLAD THEY'RE GONE:
Don, Ivy, Alan, Derek, Victor, Zoe, Ruth
& Ben
GAIL'S HAIR:
I've been wondering if her hair is really
a black hole and absorbs characters right out of the show.....
See you on the channel |
