". . . These are not pictures of crewmembers that were involved in the crash. Don't remember if any of the persons in the pictures were in the crash. These are the regular crewmembers that flew the aircraft daily."

VQ-1 Crew 2 DaNang 1968



Three different people helped to identify the crew members in the photograph above. Some varied a little, so I made a column for each of the people's lists. Thanks to all who helped.
I am one of the crewmen pictured in the VQ-1 Crew #2 picture posted on your web site. I have a copy of that picture and I wrote the names of the  men on the back of my copy.

I also am positive that the picture was taken in 1969 not 1968, because Lt Millikan and myself were deployed as co-EWACs. I was getting to be a  short timer and he had over a year to go, we were the junior EWACs along  with Lt Mike Asher and were paired for a deployment.

 I have a mug that crew 2 gave out to  crew members when they left the
squadron.  It of course has all the names of the guys on it.  So, based on
the mug and the "mug shots" let me try to ID some of the folks in the picture:

Yea, that was quite a crew...a couple of them were killed in DaNang when 26
pranged into the hangar.  Lost one of my best friends (ADR3 Greg Asbeck)
