School year 2001 - 2002 was another successful year for the Educational Foundation of the Chesters.  Thanks to the generosity of parents, community members and area corporations the Foundation was able to raise approximately $31,000 this past year to benefit Dickerson, Bragg and Black River Middle Schools!

This money will be used in the 2002 - 2003 school year for after-school programs and innovative projects and equipment.  Money is allocated to teachers and administrators through the Educational Foundation grant program, the Angel Grant program and Thank-a-Teacher program.  For more information on these programs, click on Programs above.  For detailed information on grants awarded to date, click on Grants above.

The Foundation also initiates programs on its own, in consultation with the building principals and superintendent of schools, to benefit the schools, students, parents, and teachers.  This past year, the Foundation partnered with the Chester PTA and Chester School Board to purchase Alpha Smarts and charging carts for Bragg School.
