The Green Library

a project of the Saint-Petersburg School of Religion and Philosophy (SRPh)

how to use the library

To download and read or print out the texts made available by The Green Library, follow these simple steps:

1. Since the downloadable files are in .pdf format, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or print them. So if you do not have this excellent (and free) software already installed on your machine, go to the Adobe site by clicking here and download it, then install it.

2. Since the downloadable .pdf files are zipped, make sure you can unzip files. If not, download and install WinZip or any other unzipping utility (there are many of them on the Net). Mac users can download ZipIt, a shareware program which lets Mac computers handle zip archives.

3. Go back to the main page, then to the "all authors" page and select the items you are interested in. If there is a green arrow on the left, the text is ready for download. Click on the arrow, download the file you want, decompress it (usually just double clicking the file in a file manager will do) and open the decompressed file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If there is no green arrow, be patient... it may take time, but one day the text will be here!

If something does not work, do not hesitate to consult the chief librarian by e-mail. Suggestions, corrections, contributions, comments are also welcome!
